Made In Cookware: Rethinking the Kitchen Landscape
..... you won't believe all the options! - Lucy
Always seeking the latest in cookware and was thinking about replacing a few frying and sauce pans that are looking sad and worn out. What you need to know is that we cook in most of the time and cookware does wear out if used enough. Found Made In I believe on Facebook and started reviewing the products. As usual I got distracted to the red wine glasses. It isn’t like we don’t have any, but these looked beautiful. I held off and held off but the glasses kept coming back up either in an email or ads on Facebook. Then one day the glasses were featured slightly on sale, so I went ahead and ordered a set of four to try out to see if we liked them. They are everything the advertisement states below:
‘Made in Italy, our red wine glasses are constructed from the purest raw materials and crafted using a process that draws on traditional artisanal techniques, while producing glass free from heavy metals. With a titanium-reinforced treatment on the stems, our wine glasses are far more resistant to breakage and abrasion and are dishwasher safe. These red wine glasses were designed to create a superior mouthfeel, while staying light and balanced in the hand. With a sleek and classic design, these red wine glasses are the perfect complement to steak night or cheese tastings.’
Interesting about the titanium-reinforced treatment on the stems, maybe I won’t break them now. I promised myself I would only use them for dinner parties. I have started with the 4 but will add to the collection because our dinner parties are usual 6-9. Beautiful and elegant complement to a table setting.
So, I shared a picture with my friend Kim about the information on the new purchase, and she wrote back her favorite wine glasses are from Macy’s by Vera Wang and made by Wedgwood called the Metropolitan Wine Glass Pair. I looked them up and they look the similar, these have a flatter base, but almost half the price and no titanium. I have only used the Made In glasses once for a dinner party and no breakage. Next dinner party is this Saturday night, and the glasses will be in use.
Enough on the wine glasses I thought this article was on cookware!! Ok, back to the company Made In and learning about their history and background you will discover that they are motivated by their 100-year family history in kitchen supply, they purposely set out to rethink the kitchen landscape. I am looking to replace a small frying pan and will try their trade in program. Also, you do have a choice of colors: Harbour Blue or Graphite. Going for the Harbour Blue color.
PS: I ordered the additional 4 wine glasses to complete the wine glasses set. Just don’t like messing with the crystal glasses.
